Iontosorb EDTA
Chelating sorbent
With ethylenediamine-tetraacetic acid (EDTA) bound covalently in side chains of bead-form cellulose:
|
A chemical stability of this functional group is limited to pH 8. In alkaline media above pH 8 hydrolysis takes place and the whole functional group removes.
Iontosorb EDTA is delivered with the following content of functional groups:
| Content of functional groups [mmol Cu / gram] dry sorbents | |
|---|---|
| LOW | 0.15 - 0.40 |
| MEDIUM | 0.50 - 0.80 |
| HIGH | 0.90 - 1.15 |
| Content of functional groups [mmol Cu / gram] dry sorbents | |
|---|---|
| LOW | 0.10 - 0.30 |
| MEDIUM | 0.40 - 0.50 |
| HIGH | 0.60 - 0.90 |
In an order a demanded content of functional groups shall be given (e.g. Iontosorb EDTA 50 M means demanded content of functional groups 0.50 - 0.80 mmol/g dry).
