Iontosorb AV

is a modified bead-form cellulose containing aminoaryl-ß-ethylsulfone groups in flexible chains:

The content of amino aryl groups in Iontosorb AV can be regulated according to customer´s demands in the range 0.02 to 1.36 mmol/g.

Iontosorb AV is delivered with the following content of functional groups:

In an order a demanded content of functional groups shall be given (e.g. Iontosorb AV 100 M means demanded content of functional groups 0.19 - 0.55 mmol/g dry).

The water regain in sorbents depends not only on the concentration of functional groups, type of the original Bead Cellulose, but on the manner of modification the cellulose, too.

Iontosorb AV can be used not only as a carrier for enzyme immobilization, but also as a semi-product for preparing various types of new sorbents, especially chelating.

For binding biologically active substances, Iontosorb AV may be activated by diazotation or by reaction with thiofosgene. In the former case, the carrier reacts with the aromatic, heteroaromatic or active methylene groups of biologically active substances, while in the latter case with amino groups.
